Fickus is one of 11 puppies rescued from a difficult situation on Birdtail Reserve in Manitoba. We took in 5 of the puppies, and they came to us needing plenty of care after likely living outside in poor conditions. Despite his rough beginning, Fickus has quickly shown just how loving and loyal he is.
Fickus is an absolute sweetheart who always wants to be close to his people. If you’re moving around, chances are Fickus will be right behind you, happily tagging along wherever you go. He has a gentle, affectionate personality and loves being part of whatever is happening around him.
Fickus is also very food-motivated; mealtime is definitely one of his favourite parts of the day! His love of snacks and attention will make him a great candidate for training as he grows.
Their mom is a Great Pyrenees, and the puppies appear to be mixed with Shepherd, so Fickus will likely grow into a large, loyal, intelligent companion.
Fickus is ready to find a forever home where he can stay close to his people, continue building confidence, and enjoy all the love and full bowls he deserves.
