Bradley Mink sees the world differently — and he’s not afraid to say so out loud. Shaped by the uncompromising voices of Bill Hicks, Patrice O’Neal, George Carlin, and Eddie Murphy, and grounded by a family that always gave him room to be himself, Bradley has carved out a corner of stand-up that feels genuinely his own.

How would you describe your comedy style?
The type of comedy you aren’t supposed to be laughing at. A gritty, premise, tag & punch. You leave with a new pallet of comedy.
Who are some of your influences?
Bill Hicks, Patrice O Neal, Eddie Murphy, George Carlin
A bigger influence on me is my family & the people that I’m close to. They allow me to be my genuine self, do not ridicule me, allow me to push the boundaries of comedy. My family has all my life let me be the person I am today, & I cannot be any more grateful for them.
Who was your favourite comedian growing up?
Jim Carey
Who is your favourite comedian now?
Shane Gillis
What is your pre-show ritual?
I don’t have much a ritual, but I will purposely put myself into a state of energy by hopping up & down to get the blood going.
What is your favourite place you have performed? Why?
The Basement Comedy Speakeasy, located at 3740 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba. The ceiling is low, vibe is impeccable, naturally calming for a comedian like myself.
What is your favourite bit you have written and why were you proud of it?
“I never felt apart of my community, never felt apart of any community, but whenever I feel like I’m not a part of my community, there’s always a Dollarama security guard there to remind me.”
I’m proud of it because it takes a personal thing of mine & making fun of it. A type of comedy where it’s relatable. Looking at the world through improper eyes & making fun of it.
What is your favourite medium for listening or finding new comics/comedians?
Has to be YouTube. I will scour YouTube for hours, looking up new comedians or old ones I haven’t gotten to yet.
Tell us a joke about your city.
“The weather app in Winnipeg doesn’t ever feel like I’m getting a forecast. But like a bully telling me he’s gonna kick my butt today
Today -35 feels like a threat.”
Do you have anything to promote right now?
Currently, nothing right now, but I’ve got my fingers crossed for a festival in Montreal.
Where can we follow you?
PAY IT FORWARD: Who is another local comic/comedian we should know about?
Benji Rothman. I always enjoy watching Benji perform & craft his material. Great comedian.
